Charlie Chaplin: Together with silent film icon Mary Pickford, DW Griffith and Douglas Fairbanks, he founded the production company, United Artists & directed many of his own features. Tina Fey: From acting in her own critically acclaimed sitcom to writing the screenplay for a popular teen flick & famously parodying Sarah Palin, she has also managed to carve out her own film career. Eddie Murphy: Working as a professional stand-up comedian by his mid-teens, his precocious talent took Murphy to Hollywood, where he starred in action / comedie. But it's his comic genius and ability to play multiple characters in the one film that has made him a comedy icon. Matt Groening: The creator of the Simpsons suggests that it?s not easy coming up with plots for each week's episode, and after 20 years, you'd be inclined to believe him. Ricky Gervais: He has carved a career in stand-up, movies and has even lent his hand to writing a series of children's books! |
