Shakuhachi music. When the young Chinese American, Riley Lee, left Hawaii University to spend three months in Japan, he became a Grand Master of the Japanese Flute, the Shakuhachi. He also joined the famous demon drumming groups, Ondeko-Za (now Kodo) and toured America and Europe. Now Riley tours the world and composes with didgeridoo player Matthew Doyle and chief percussionist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Ian Cleworth. They've formed the Japanese inspired percussionist group TAIKOZ. |
