In the 1967 Referendum he was there alongside Pearl Gibbs and Faith Bandler. At the Aboriginal Tent Embassy he was there beside Gary Foley, Paul Coe and Billy Craigie. In his seventies now, he is dealing with asbestos poisoning, a legacy from his working days on the Sydney docks as a wharfie, but he's still at the ready to stir it all up again! (ABC TV)
